ABOUT US
We are a non-denominational Church based in the heart of the city of Plymouth, on the South West coast of England. We are a mixed congregation of European and African backgrounds, we feel that this makes us incredibly blessed as we are enriched by the variation of our cultures and different expressions of worship. We have a great freedom in praise and worship and we give the word of God the highest place in the sanctuary and the results are awesome as we see God enriching our lives in giving us power to live the way that He has designed for us. As a community of believers from all walks of life we exist to serve Christ and our community through fellowships and other activities. All are welcome to join with us in worshiping Jesus Christ!

LEADERSHIP
Pastor CHARLY KONGOLO – Senior Pastor & Founder
Pastor Charly Kongolo is the Senior Pastor and founder of House of Prayer Ministries. His journey in ministry began early in life, and in 1996, at the age of 23, he was ordained as a Minister of the Word and Pastor. He faithfully led a local church in the Democratic Republic of the Congo for two years before sensing God’s direction to relocate to the United Kingdom.
In 2010, Pastor Charly responded to God’s call to establish House of Prayer Ministries, a vision rooted in prayer, discipleship, and the transformative power of God’s Word. Over the years, he has become known for his passionate preaching, pastoral heart, and unwavering commitment to seeing lives changed through the gospel.
A gifted communicator and leader, Pastor Charly serves not only as a pastor but also as an inspirational speaker, mentor, songwriter, musician, singer, and worship leader. His ministry reflects a deep love for God and a genuine compassion for people. He has dedicated his life to serving God wholeheartedly and helping individuals grow in faith, purpose, and spiritual maturity.
Pastor Charly holds a Law degree from the Protestant University of the Congo and a BA in Social Work from the University of Plymouth, UK. His academic background, combined with his pastoral calling, enriches his ministry with wisdom, empathy, and a strong sense of justice and community care.
Today, Pastor Charly continues to lead House of Prayer Ministries with vision, humility, and a steadfast desire to see God’s kingdom advance.
